this is very nice! i really like how you did the hidden devil horns and the tail on the girl. and with the amount of sadness on the boys face, it makes me feel the same way he does, if i were there i would give him a hug. i think you did a great job on this :)

One more thing, even though he is now rich, the "nerd" is still as humble, as he was in high school!

NO! Like where the "nerd" grows up to be a billionaire, and the b**** who was mean to him ends up working at one of his establishments. She is then tripped by some random teenage jerks, while the "nerd", (who you should seriously make it look like puberty has been kind to him, but not TOO KIND! {Translation: KEEP THE GLASSES!!!}), is on TV being interviewed, she sees him, and remembers how he felt, when that happened to him!" She is now sad, but she learns!

It almost has a "walk a mile in my shoes"/karma's a B****" vibe going on, doesn't it?

You can do it in the style of that drawing above. Just put the TV, where that lunch banner would be. and don't forget, the "nerd" is still humble!

Wow, such an emotional impact. I had a boyfriend who was bullied throughout childhood so I really feel for people like this. Very nicely done. I love the separation of foreground and background elements through the blue-dark colors. The angle makes this piece extremely interesting.

Great job, very deep. Wonderful concept and execution =)

augh... it brings back painful memories. :( STOP PLAYING WITH MY FEELS!!!
Anyhow, excellent work. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the contrast of colors, lighter red being superior and darker blue being the victim. It gives it that much more depth. :D

Also, great Hunchback reference. :P

Aside from comments coming from my conversation with Miss All-Knowing Non-Bigoted I-Have-Nothing-Else-To-Do Lady, I'd like to post a comment about the actual art. :XD:

I really do like this picture a lot. It makes you think about things on a deeper level. I love the idea of "who's the beauty and who's the beast?" Very cool picture. :)

How is it any different to think about things on a deeper level including the social implications of stereotyping?

I actually think she made a pretty good point about stereotyping.

But of course, this post was about bullying and we shouldn't try to consider the social implications of our work in the context of the world we live in, or question people on their design choices.
Because art is meaningless, right?

Its one thing to discuss the art and its implications - whether they're successful or not
Its another to harass an artist for the sake of contentment. I might be wrong, but the way all of those comments were worded were not discussion-based. She was looking for a fight so she could validate her opinion. Hence, I called her an attention whore.
Please don't tell me you're trying to open up a year-old wound here. If you'd like to talk about the use/abuse of stereotypes in casual art, we can do that. But I'm not interested in re-reading what I wrote a year ago and reliving that back-and-forth politically-driven fingerpointing women's uninformed opinions.

It looks like you made the "U" a little more darker than the other letters on purpose.
I am not sure if that has been mentioned yet.
Nice work on this!!

This picture brings up a lot of odd emotions I haven't felt since High School. I do love the mood this conveys, I feel that I can relate to the abuse.

The people who see it happening do nothing. I just feel for that kid :(
